Farewell to Our First Home: Cherished Memories and New Beginnings

Hard to believe we sold our house 1 year ago šŸ˜€ This was our first home and we owned it for almost 9 years. The kids took their first steps there, we had too many parties and BBQ's to count, and so many memories. It was an incredible first home. Perfect for our family! The neighborhood was filled with kids and we had the best neighbors. ā  ā  We worked for 5 weeks preparing the house to be put on the market. We painted so much, and hauled so much mulch and rock. We kept it pretty quiet when we decided to sell our house because we didn't want to have to explain our crazy plan to everyone, at least not yet. ā  ā  Our realtor was amazing and she told us exactly what we needed to do to get it ready to sell quickly. We did what she told us and we went under contract in less then 1 day. We had 10 offers and over 25 showings. The Colorado housing market was (and still is) crazy.ā  ā  Looking back at the photos and reminiscing, my heat is full. Full of gratitude for owning a home, raising our family there, making friendships that are still going strong, and knowing the new family is loving it just as much as we did. ā  ā  I wouldn't change a thing, living in the house and raising our young children there was everything we prayed for. Now exploring the country in our new home is exactly where we want to be. It will be interesting to see where we end up in another 9 years.
