Exploring Zion Beyond the Shuttle
Exploring Zion without the Shuttle (Save this for later)
After our first day in Zion, we were turned off by the crowds and wanted a different experience. We decided to drive and explore the other parts of the park where the shuttle doesn't go.
We use @alltrails to find local hikes as we travel and it was a gold mine when it came to finding hikes in and around Zion.
Less crowded Hikes that don't require a shuttle ticket:
⛰️ Zion Canyon Overlook Trail: 1 mile in/out trail that is very popular with amazing views, some narrow parts, and family friendly (see my Reel from earlier this week for the view)
⛰️ Northgate Peaks Trail: 6 mile loop trail located in middle canyon area on Kolob Terrace Rd. We didn't get to hike this fully due to weather but it was beautiful. The drive to the hike was stunning.
⛰️ Lower Clear Creek (The Hobbit Hole): 1.3 mile in/out trail that is family friendly with slot canyons. (We didn't get to hike this but heard great reviews about it)
We loved driving the middle canyon area towards Kolob Reservoir and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to stay away from the crowds.
