Exploring Outside the 303
A massive stone archway stands tall against a bright blue sky, with the words 'FOR THE BENEFIT AND ENJOYMENT OF THE PEOPLE' engraved in its lintel. The arch is constructed from irregularly shaped, rough-hewn stones, giving it a rugged yet grand appearance. Beyond the arch, a winding road cuts through a vast, arid landscape of rolling hills and distant mountains. A few cars can be seen traveling along the road, appearing tiny in the vast expanse. In the foreground, a couple of people stand on either side of the arch, dwarfed by its imposing size.

Exploring Yellowstone's Historic Entrance

"For the benefit and enjoyment of the people" ~Organic Act of 1872 ⠀ President Ulysses S. Grant designated Yellowstone as the first US national park in the Organic Act of 1872. The boarders where modified years later to what it is today. Also, President Roosevelt laid the cornerstone for the now named Roosevelt Arch at the North Yellowstone entrance. The arch was added to add flare to the North entrance. ⠀ We left Yellowstone through this exit after dipping our feet in the Yellowstone River. It was cold but so refreshing. We saw mountain goats for the first time too!🐐 ⠀ Yellowstone has a special place in our hearts and we loved being able to see all the animals and the incredible landscape. The landscapes are so different within the park. ⠀ ❓What's your favorite animal sighting in Yellowstone❓ (our answers are in the comments) ⠀ Follow our adventures👉 @exploringoutsidethe303 @ Yellowstone North Entrance, Montana
