Exploring Outside the 303
The image captures a magnificent and awe-inspiring coastal landscape. A gigantic rock formation, known as Haystack Rock, towers over the beach and sea, its jagged and craggy silhouette cutting an imposing figure against the cloudy sky. The rock is a striking blend of shades, from dark greys to earthy browns, with streaks of lighter hues formed by mineral deposits and weathering over time. At its base, the rock meets the vast expanse of the sandy beach, creating a striking contrast between the rugged and the smooth. Two human figures, dwarfed by the immense scale of Haystack Rock, stand ankle-deep in the wet sand, their reflections mirrored in the shallow water that stretches out before them. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and natural wonder, inviting the viewer to appreciate the grandeur of nature and the profound beauty found in the Pacific Northwest.

Exploring the Majestic Pacific Northwest

If we were meant to stay in one place we'd have roots instead of feet I remind my kids all the time to stay curious, ask questions, touch it, feel it, and think about it. Exploring is not something you do once and it is over. The pacific northwest has been so different then any other place we have explored. All it know is it is not what I expected. The small seaside towns, rolling hills with huge trees, dense forest at every turn, and the ocean crashing in with fog daily. I hope you don't mind all the ocean pictures lately. Its hard to not be amazed by the strength and beauty of it. I pray that it sparks some intrigue in you to want to explore this part of the country. Have you been to the PNW? What's your favorite town? 📍 Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, Oregon
