Exploring Outside the 303
A couple is walking together on a brick path surrounded by majestic, towering oak trees with gnarled branches that form a stunning, natural archway overhead. The trees are centuries old, creating a verdant canopy that casts dappled shadows on the neatly trimmed grass. In the background, a stately plantation-style mansion with white columns can be glimpsed through the foliage. The scene exudes a serene, almost ethereal beauty, reminiscent of the Old South.

Exploring Oak Alley Plantation

Another favorite spot we explored was Oak Alley Plantation in LA. The Oak trees were gorgeous and so big, bigger then any trees we've seen before. We toured the plantation and the grounds on our way to New Orleans. The kids had a lot of questions about slavery and what it was like to live during the time. It was a great learning day for us all. We also had done praline cookies and Addy was a fan. We have said it before, we love the south. The hospitality, the humidity, the food, and beautiful scenery.
