Exploring Canyonlands National Park in Utah

Canyonlands National Park in a day (save this for later) One of Utah's Might 5 National Parks and the last one to see during our 5 week tour of Southern Utah. Canyonlands is a cross between Grand Canyon and Arches, with 3 sections to explore. We explored Island in the Sky, which is very fitting considering it has the Colorado River on one side and Green River on the other secluding itself from the rest of the park. Our recommended hikes with kids: 🥾 Mesa Arch - an easy 0.7 mile loop that brings you up close to the arch with an specular view of the canyon through the arch 🥾 Whale Rock Trail - a 0.8 mile out/back with killer views from the top, the kids particularly loved climbing up the rocks 🥾 Upheaval Dome - a moderate 1.7 mile out/back with 2 overlooks. The 2nd overlook is the best for views of the colorful crater 🥾 Grand View Point Overlook - not a hike but a great overlook of the canyons, this is great at sunrise or sunset We plan to go back again and explore the other sections of the park, maybe even go for an overnight tour on Shafer Trail to really experience the land. ❓ Have you been to Canyonlands National Park ❓ 1📸: Mesa Arch 2📸: Whale Rock 3/4📸: Upheaval Dome 5📸: Grand View Point Overlook @exploringoutsidethe303 @exploringoutsidethe303 @exploringoutsidethe303 @ Canyonlands National Park - Islands in the Sky
