Embracing Spontaneity at the Splash Pad
Sometimes it's better to be spontaneous
⠀
Now that was hard to type, I'm Type A and a planner to the core. 🤷♀️ While exploring Cody we were struggling with what we actually wanted to do. We didn't feel like going to the Buffalo Bill Museum and we had checked out most of the shops on main street. Luckily, the owner of the candy store recommended a park near by.
⠀
The kids were full of energy so we thought it would be the perfect option. After playing on the playground the kids were dying to play at the splash pad.
⠀
At first they were hesitant to get wet because they didn't have swimsuits like everyone else but that didn't last too long. Watching them and hearing the giggles made it worth it. Yes they were soaked completely and no we didn't have any towels but it was all they could talk about on the way home. Thank goodness it was sunny out so they could dry off quickly.
⠀
As a momma, I struggle with always wanting and needing to be prepared for everything. Having older kids and experiencing many occasions of not being prepared it has helped a lot with those feelings. I also like to think that the lifestyle we have affords me with more opportunities to go with the flow and not be so rigid. Spontaneity has become more common for us and slowly I'm learning to love it.
