Exploring Outside the 303
A family with three people is wading in the shallow waters of a beach on a sunny day. The crystal clear turquoise waters gently lap against the rocky shoreline, creating a picturesque scene. Two adults, likely parents, are holding large inflatable tubes - one green and one blue - as they stand ankle-deep in the water. A child is also present, seemingly enjoying the refreshing water. The sky is a brilliant shade of blue with a few wispy white clouds adding texture. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and joy, capturing a moment of family bonding and leisure.

Embrace Quiet Moments for Rejuvenation

Allow yourself and your family quiet time It is so easy to get wrapped up in to do lists, work, school, and a million other things. I was really feeling the pressure the past few months and it killed my creativity. When my kids are over stimulated, we make them take time to be quiet to recenter. It may look like 5 minutes in their room cuddling with stuffed animals, reading their bible, or us hugging it out for a minute. I needed the adult version of that, and God had been nudging me to be still. I took time during the holiday's to be with him and be still in the morning. Reading, praying, and just sitting there with no sound other than me breathing. Yes, it was awkward at first and honestly nothing earth shattering has been revealed as of yet. However, I do feel at peace more, calm, and the creativity has been sparked again. Being distracted and pulled all over the place in this world is easy to do, it takes discipline and commitment to be still, listen, and follow the direction you are uniquely designed to go. Here's to being authentically yourself and purposely taking the time to be quiet. Can we commit together to do this for the rest of the month?
