Exploring Outside the 303
A woman is standing in a desert landscape with rocky mountains in the background. She is wearing a purple long-sleeved top, black pants, and sneakers. Her long hair is blowing in the breeze. In the foreground, there is a tall, slender cactus with thin, green stems covered in small leaves and thorns, which appears to be an Ocotillo cactus in bloom, with its characteristic red flowers blooming at the tips of the stems. The bright blue sky has wispy white clouds, creating a striking contrast with the arid desert scenery.

Blooming Ocotillo Cactus in Saguaro National Park

There's beauty in simplicity🌵 ⠀ The Ocotillo is by far my favorite cactus because of its long thin beautiful stems covered in tiny green leaves hiding thorns. They grow to be very tall and bloom with a red flower on the tips. Ocotillo means "little torch" in Spanish, which is very fitting. ⠀ The east side of Seguaro National Park was covered in these and many of the cactus' were blooming. Talk about perfect timing! ⠀ If your in the SW, head out and see if you can catch the blossoms before they go away. ⠀ ❓Do you have a favorite type of cactus❓ ⠀ Follow us @exploringoutsidethe303 @ Saguaro National Park
