Awe-Inspiring Grand Canyon Hike

During our visit to the Grand Cayon, I found a hike on the South Kaibab Trail called Ooh Aah Point that was a must see. It is 2 miles round trip with an 600 elevation change. Going down was the easy part. We took multiple breaks on the way up but honestly I am a cardio queen and I liked going up better then going down the trail. . . We used trekking poles for the first time on this hike and found them to be helpful, especially on the way up. Steve it's still on the mend from hurting his ankle during our last hike, so we decided to only do the 2 miles, although I think we could have done more. Next time! . . Addy and I got close to the edge for some photos and my legs about gave out, they were shaking so hard being that close to the edge. The view was awe inspiring, just as the name suggests. We all agreed that next time we should hike to the water, stay the night, and then hike back up. . . I'll leave you with this last piece, the first photo I took was the picture of the sign and I didn't notice the shadow made a cross at first. I can't help but think how fitting it is because God creates amazing scenery, he is awe inspiring, and this spot you really do say Ooh Aah!
