Tranquil Tropical Stream Oasis
What if I told you that just 30 meters down the stream there are 2 massive cascading waterfall tiers and yet this is still my favorite scene from yesterday? This little oasis is so peaceful and pleasing to look at! Especially glistening in the suns’ final glow. I spent hours and hours switching between the 5 levels here🤙🏼 diving, swimming, droning, and taking a nap (bring your hammock and mosquito spray)— doesn’t get much better than that!
Started the day out by getting lost and missing the last level… spent the next 2 hours going way too far up the river and back when I was going to concede that I missed it somehow. Seemed like a pretty disappointing blunder at first— that is until I got back to this spot! When I first arrived it was slam-packed with people and life jackets… but when I retuned it was just me and a group of local young adults. I dove way too many times, enjoyed a conversation with the locals, and snapped some shots of their group and a few of them sending back flips! 🔄 in slippers 😅 after they left I had the entire top 4 levels to myself for almost an hour before sunset! On my way down to the prize possession falls that was once swarmed with a photo line was completely desolate! I just laid in the water and took it all in, didn’t even drone again. I was too stoked on the moment!
All in all, what was seemingly a waste of time was a peaceful afternoon by myself in nature followed by the most epic oasis playground I’ve ever experienced— and I don’t think it would have been so sweet if I didn’t get lost and the crowds dispersed! Things don’t go to plan when you travel. I expect it, try to embrace it, and enjoy the rewards that can come from it! Even when there’s no reward there’s always a good story🤙🏼
