Avoiding Crowds at Amusement Parks

“How do you avoid the crowds and not spend hours in line?” We love amusement parks and go quite often, so we get asked this question a lot! Although there’s no way to predict for sure what the crowds will do, these things have generally really helped us… (save for future travels) 1. Start early! It can be hard to get out the door early, especially if you have kiddos, but the earlier the better. If you have an early entry option, take advantage of it. If not, try to still get there before the park opens. 2. Start at the back of the park. Most people work their way from front to back, so do the opposite. 3. Use the single rider lines. Only some of the rides have this option but it’s great if you have older kids or if you are going as adults. You get to wait in line with your party and then only split up when you’re ready to hop on the ride. As soon as you’re done you’re together again and bam💥 you just saved like an hour of waiting! 4. Don’t start with the most popular rides, they will usually fill up fast, which makes all of the other lines in the park super short. Instead, hit the other rides first and you can get on several rides in the first couple hours! Then go to the more popular ones around lunchtime or the end of the day. The exception to this is if you have an early entry pass ~ then definitely go to the popular rides first! With less people in the park, the wait shouldn’t be near as bad. 5. Avoid summer months, holidays, and weekends as much as possible. If you look at Disney’s blockout days for passholders, it gives you a pretty clear indication of which days are the busiest. ➡️Follow our family adventures @eastcoast.blondies for more travel tips! . . . . . disney
