Tips for Healthy Hair and Preventing Breakage

Even if you are trying to grow out your hair, regular trims prevent split ends which cause breakage. Every 8-10 weeks is ideal, even if itโ€™s just the tips of your hair. โœจ ๐™’๐™–๐™จ๐™ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™๐™–๐™ž๐™ง ๐™ก๐™š๐™จ๐™จ. Less washing means less blow drying and heat styling, which allows your hair a good break. Washing too often can strip your hair of natural oils and actually cause greasy hair, as the scalp tries to compensate by producing more oil. Try every other day. โœจ ๐™๐™จ๐™š ๐’‚ ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™š๐™˜๐™ฉ๐’‚๐’๐’• ๐™—๐™š๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™—๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™™๐™ง๐™ฎ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ. This will shield your hair from thermal and UV damage. My favorite heat protectant is @joico Defy Damage. I put it mostly on my ends and just a little on top. โœจ ๐˜ฟ๐™ค๐™ฃโ€™๐™ฉ ๐™ฌ๐™š๐™–๐™ง ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™๐™–๐™ž๐™ง ๐™ช๐™ฅ ๐™ฌ๐™๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™จ๐™ก๐™š๐™š๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ. This can cause breakage around your hairline which is the most delicate part of your hair. Also, using a satin pillow can help. โœจ ๐™€๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ง๐™ž๐™œ๐™๐™ฉ ๐™›๐™ค๐™ค๐™™๐™จ. There are many foods that actually promote healthy hair such as eggs, spinach, avocados, berries, and nuts. I use almond oil on dry hair, then wash it out. It is packed full of Omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and vitamin E which nourishes the hair and is especially needed after a chemical treatment. โœจ ๐™ƒ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ก๐™š ๐™ฌ๐™š๐™ฉ ๐™๐™–๐™ž๐™ง ๐™ฌ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ ๐™˜๐™–๐™ง๐™š.
