Sagrada Familia: Front and Back Contrast
Usually pictures of the Sagrada Familia highlight the front, so it was a surprise to discover that the backside had a completely different look! One of the things I love most about traveling is delving deeper into a place. Pictures have their limits, and the actual experience of being there is a whole different story.
So why is it so different from front to back? The Sagrada Familia has been under construction for over 140 Years and due to the extended construction period, the lead architects have changed over time. The front was designed by Antoni Gaudí and reflects his original vision, while the back was designed later and follows a more modern and angular style. The differing styles symbolize the evolution of the project over time. It’s quite fascinating!
Did you know this? Have you experienced the Sagrada Familia in person?
