The Importance of a 'Momcation'
What’s a “momcation”? It’s an annual solo trip I take to recharge and prioritize self-care. Being a mom involves constant care for others, so these days away, often at the beach, is my time to take things slow. I practice yoga, take midday naps, spend time in prayer, read a book cover to cover, prepare healthy meals, set goals, and take long walks by the ocean. These moments truly fill my soul! While weekly self-care helps, consecutive days bring a remarkable rejuvenation, making me return home feeling relaxed and a better mom.
For those who don’t have kids, solo trips are also a great way to recharge from busy schedules and long work weeks.
