Prioritizing Self-Care for Emotional Well-being
If you’ve been following my stories for the last few weeks, you’ve probably seen my weekly healthy habit goals that I post every Monday. Hopefully it is helping you get ready for swimsuit season, it’s definitely helping me! I can’t wait for summer☀️🌊👙🩳🐚🏖️
As important as your physical health is, it’s equally important to take care of your emotional and mental well-being. I have to intentionally take time in my day to recharge and reset or it just won’t happen! As a mama, hairdresser, content creator, wife, homemaker ~ I tend to put myself last but then I burn out quickly. Instead, I’ve been trying to do a little something every day to fill my cup, so I can be 💯!
If you’re like me and need to work in a little “me” time, here are a few ideas to get you started. Pick one or two and make time for it today! (Save for future reference as well😉)
🧘♀️Meditate - close your eyes, breathe deep, and repeat a positive mantra in your mind.
📚Read a book- choose something that is inspiring or light-hearted to lift your mood.
🥾Take a walk- you don’t have to go far, just a quick walk around your neighborhood or a park nearby. Getting outdoors does wonders for your emotional and mental well-being!
🎵Listen to music- like reading, make sure it is inspiring and lifts your mood.
📺Watch an episode of your favorite tv show. I’m talking about guilt-free time to sit and just chill for a bit! (Scrolling on your phone doesn’t count)
🥰Gather your loved ones around you and tell stories about your favorite memories together.
🎧Listen to a podcast- a short podcast that is inspiring can fill your mind with positivity and encouragement.
🛁Take a bath- relax and soak for a bit. Light a candle and dim the lights for a spa-like ambience.
Don’t forget to take care of YOU❤️ You will be better for it and so will the people around you!
