Prioritize Self-Care for Balanced Motherhood
✨Mom Talk✨ It’s so easy to put others’ needs above our own, especially when it comes to our children ~ it’s just because we love them so dang much!💕 Let me share an analogy that has helped me find a better balance… I call it the “plane analogy”✈️
I remember one time when I was traveling on an airplane with my young children and the stewardess came up to me, before the plane took off, to remind me that in case of an emergency to put my air mask on first, THEN help my children. I saw the connection between this statement and motherhood immediately and have never forgotten it!
It’s our mother’s intuition to help our children first, but if we’re not taking care of ourselves we’re not as capable to meet their needs. If we DO take time for ourselves, EVERYONE wins!🥰
It really doesn’t need to take a ton of time! For me, just a quiet moment in the morning to talk to God, meditate, then get a good workout in, is all I need to mentally, emotionally, and physically be at my best!
So mothers, don’t forget to do something for yourselves today! Everyone will benefit😉
