Practicing Gratitude on Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving, a perfect day to reflect on all the blessings in my life! Lately, Bryce and I have been talking a lot about the power of gratitude and positivity, and how shifting our perspective changes everything. Life hasn’t always gone as we expected—there have been challenges and moments that feel unfair. But at the same time, there’s so much good, including experiences we never dreamed we’d have. When I dwell on what feels unfair or compare my life to others who seem to be where I think we should be, it leads to frustration and unhappiness. The only antidote to that is gratitude—shifting my focus to all that I do have and all the blessings in my life. I’m learning to accept the things that haven’t gone as planned and instead choose to focus on what’s good and present in my life right now. Bryce and I are making a conscious effort to have more positive conversations, to recognize our blessings, and to stop giving energy to negativity. Recently, I’ve started keeping a gratitude journal again. Every day, I write down three things that brought me joy that day. I’m also making it a point to express more gratitude in my prayers and to the people around me. The more I look for the good, the more I find it! So today, as you reflect on the things you’re grateful for, make a choice to carry that mindset with you—not just on Thanksgiving, but every day. Gratitude isn’t just something to feel; it’s something to practice. Decide to see more of the good in your life, even in the small, ordinary moments that are easy to overlook. When you focus on the good, you’ll find it everywhere! 📸This photo of my family in Italy is currently my phone’s cover photo—a reminder of how grateful I am for them and the incredible adventures we’ve shared together💗 What is one thing you’re grateful for? ➡️Follow our family adventures @eastcoast.blondies
