New York City Subway Adventure

๐ŸšŠNavigating the train/subway stations in New York! (๐™Ž๐™–๐™ซ๐™š ๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™›๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™ง๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™–๐™ซ๐™š๐™ก๐™จ) - - The train and subway systems are an adventure in and of themselves! It was our kidsโ€™ first time in an underground station and they were so excited (swipe to see my sonโ€™s reaction๐Ÿ˜†) The kids looked forward to this ride every morning as we traveled from our @airbnb in Jersey City to NYC ~ we felt like true New Yorkers!๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸšŠTrain/subway tipsโ€ฆ โœจIf you are staying outside of Manhattan, check to see if they offer train passes. Some vacation rentals do! โœจThe subway passes only allow 4 swipes per trip so you need another card if you are traveling with more than 4 people. We found this out the hard way!๐Ÿ˜… โœจCheck your route ahead of time! It can really complicate things if you hop on the wrong train/subway. We found this out the hard way too!๐Ÿ˜† โœจRather than saying north or south, in Manhattan they say โ€œuptownโ€ or โ€œdowntownโ€. It can describe the direction youโ€™re traveling or specific coordinatesโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ“Uptown- north of 59th St ๐Ÿ“Midtown- between 59th and 14th St ๐Ÿ“Downtown- South of 14th Traveling east and west is considered โ€œcrosstownโ€ โœจHope this is helpful!
