Mother-Daughter Beverly Hills Getaway
Girl’s trip ~ just the two of us!! Every year my husband or I take one of our kids on a one-on-one getaway. They get to pick anywhere they want within a budgeted amount. This year it was my second oldest’s turn and she picked Beverly Hills, California ~ a place her and I had never been.
We stayed at a cute boutique hotel, wandered the fancy stores of Rodeo Drive, went to the Gucci restaurant for her birthday lunch, ate at Cheesecake Factory both nights, then watched “Gilmore Girls” back at the hotel, while drinking martinellis, at the end of each night. WE FELT FANCY!👗💅
Now if you just saw my last post, you may be wondering “What in the world? She just preached about being frugal and not overspending on food, clothes, and other material things!”… and that is EXACTLY the reason my daughter chose this vacation!☺️ This is not the kind of thing I would normally do but she wanted to experience it all! Since I’m all about new experiences I said absolutely yes🙌 Although this world of designer name brands and expensive things are foreign to me, my daughter is fascinated with it and saves her money earnestly to be able to buy the finer things. I love that she is her own person and finding things she is passionate about!
So whether you’re more like me and save to travel or more like my daughter and save to shop, both require saving and sacrificing in other areas in order to achieve your goals and prioritize what is important to you!
Beverly Hills was a blast! I loved having this one-on-one time with my sweet girl💕
