In yesterdayโs video we received several comments expressing the desire to road trip into Mexico but also questions and concerns. Hereโs how our experience went and a few tips to help you plan for future travels๐ Save this!
We drove to Puerto Peรฑasco (also known as โRocky Pointโ) where we stayed in the Laguna Shores Resort.
We crossed the Lukeville , Arizona border and drove about an hour more to get to our resort. We will be sharing more info about crossing the border soon!

Take it really slow, even slower than the speed limit once you first cross the border. There are several policeman in the area. The speed limits are measured in kilometers per hour rather than miles per hour, so understanding the conversions are important.
You can get car insurance for Mexico from your regular car insurance at a daily rate in case anything happens. It can also be purchased in the city of Why, Arizona on the way to the border.
3๏ธโฃ Donโt wander around late at night. This was our first time to Rocky Point and many people told us as long as we stay close to the resort at night, weโll be fine. Because we have kids, we stuck to that advice and felt totally safe the whole time.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
