How We Travel Frequently While Not Homeschooling
We are ๐ท๐ธ๐ฝ full-time travelers and we do ๐ท๐ธ๐ฝ homeschool our kids ~ So how do we travel so often?โ๏ธ๐ This is a question that we have been asked many times and would love to share a little insight with you. Here is what we do to make it happenโฆ
๐ Plan ahead! During the summer we look ahead to the next school year and make note of all the long weekends, holidays, teacher workdays, and any other time off. Iโve already looked ahead for the coming year and each month we have at least one 3-4 day weekend due to small holidays and teacher workdays. Thatโs already one trip a month thatโs easy to find, and the perfect amount of time for a small getaway๐
๐For our bigger vacations, we look for the longer breaks during the school year. For us there are three: ๐น๐ถ๐๐๐, ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐๐๐โ๏ธ, and ๐ฎ๐
๐๐พ๐๐ ๐บ ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐. Spring break tends to be a little pricey for travel so we book that one really far in advance; we already have our Spring Break planned for 2022!
๐We also take a few trips a year without the kids so we donโt have to worry about school schedules. We like to take at least one as a couple๐ฉโโค๏ธโ๐จ, a solo trip (momcations๐), or meet up with friends!
๐Then thereโs summerโ๏ธ~ a great time to travel and take long vacations! We like to pack in quite a lot in the summer months but also have time just to be home, work, and hang out with friends. Especially with teenagers, as important as it is to spend time as a family, their time with friends is equally important!
โจBy planning ahead, we can travel for cheaper, and get the time off work in advance. I hope this helps you see how you can find more time to travel as a family!๐
