Visiting the Biltmore Estate in Asheville

Did you know that the largest home in America is right here in North Carolina? Looks more like a castle 🏰 than a home!😊 In the small town of Asheville, the Biltmore Estate is located in a secluded area among the Blue Ridge Mountains, on 8,000 acres of land.🌲🌳🍂 Amazing!! . The estate has 250 rooms, including 35 bedrooms and 44 bathrooms. There is a Banquet Hall with 70-foot ceilings and a two-story library filled with 10,000 books 📚...our favorite room! There are 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool, gym, billiard room, and bowling alley. It’s quite impressive!🤩 . George W. Vanderbilt built this home in the 1890’s and completed it in 1895. Him and his wife, Edith, hosted friends and family often and their descendants still own and manage the property today. It is open for tours and still filled with many of the original pieces from George Vanderbilt. . We took our family on a tour while they were visiting and they absolutely loved it!💕 Can you spot our group in the first photo?😁 .
