North Carolina's Must-Visit Islands
5 Islands you MUST visit in North Carolina💙 Save this for future travels! (They are in order of pictures shown)
🏝️Bald Head Island: Arrive by ferry to a secluded island where only bikes and golf carts are used on the roads. Small town feel with beautiful beach homes and uncrowded beaches.
🏝️Corolla Island: Located at the northernmost point of the Outer Banks. It is known for 24 miles of unspoiled beaches with wild horses that roam the area. The picture of me is with a wild horse that was injured and being cared for.
🏝️Bodie Island: Another island in the Outer banks. This one has my favorite lighthouse ~ the Bodie Island Lighthouse🤩 which is nestled in a quiet spot with views of the sound side of the ocean and wooden walkways.
🏝️Topsail Island: Consists of 3 beaches ~ North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach. Each one has a small town feel with charming beach homes, calm waters, uncrowded beaches, and local restaurants with delicious seafood, barbecue, and southern foods.
🏝️Pleasure Island: If you like history then this island is for you! On the south part of the island, you can visit the Fort Fisher State Historic site where the largest land-water battle was fought during the civil war. There is a battlefield and museum. Also Atlantic beach and Kure beach are on this island ~ two beaches with all the same southern charm as the other beaches in North Carolina. Love it!
