2023 Travel Recap: 64 Days of Adventures
Happy New Year! 🎉 Taking a trip down memory lane with a 2023 travel recap ~ Spotify-style😏 Can you believe the total number of days we spent traveling last year? That was probably the biggest surprise while putting these numbers together!
So how did we do it - - considering Bryce works full-time in his profession, both teenagers have jobs, and the kids are in school? With 64 days of travel, Bryce only took 22 days off work for the year and the kids hardly took any time off school.
Here are the top 5 things we did, that made it possible…
✈️ Took advantage of the weekends and packed them full of travel adventures.
✈️ Capitalized on holidays, Summer break, and teacher work days for extended getaways.
✈️ Kept it short and sweet with 3-4 day trips, most of the time.
✈️ Strategic flights: Bryce flying separately, with me driving early with the kids to save money and enjoy extra days at the location before his arrival.
✈️ Individual trips for each kid, avoiding the need for the entire family to take time off for each getaway.
What surprised you the most from our travel numbers?
