10 Fun Games to Play While Waiting in Line

Even waiting in lines can be funšŸ˜‰ Ever since our kids were tiny, weā€™ve turned just about everything into a gameā€”it makes life way more fun! And letā€™s be honest, travel can sometimes mean a lot of waiting (not the most exciting part), but when we turn it into a game, it suddenly becomes way more bearable and even kind of awesome! Here are 10 of our favorite line games to help pass the time: (Save this for your next family trip!) 1. Create a special handshake with each member of the family. Add to it and make it more complicated every time you have to wait in line again. 2. 20 Questions: One person thinks of an object, person, or place, and the others ask yes/no questions to guess it within 20 questions. 3. Word Association: Someone says a word, and the next person has to quickly say the first word that comes to mind. Continue around the group without hesitation. 4. Heads Up!: A mobile app game where one player holds a phone to their forehead displaying a word, and others give clues to help them guess. 5. I Spy: Take turns spotting something in your surroundings and saying, ā€œI spy with my little eye, something that is [color/shape/etc.],ā€ while others guess what it is. 6. Would You Rather: Take turns asking fun or tricky ā€œWould you ratherā€ questions, like ā€œWould you rather have super speed or the ability to fly?ā€ 7. Two Truths and a Lie: Each person shares three statements about themselvesā€”two true and one false. Others guess which one is the lie. 8. Alphabet Game: Choose a category (e.g., animals, foods), then take turns naming items in alphabetical order (alligator, bear, cat, etc.). 9. Rock, Paper, Scissors: A quick and simple game to pass time in short bursts. 10. Trivia: Ask each other trivia questions on topics like general knowledge, sports, or movies. āž”ļøSend this to a friend that would find it helpful on vacation! āž”ļøFollow @eastcoast.blondies for more travel tips.
