Boat Survives Storm Scare
Yesterday I got a call from the Ala Wai boat harbor with the most devastating news a boat owner could hear… “I’m sorry to tell you this but your boat has sunk during the storm”
My buddy Devin (the other owner who is also named Devin) and I started laughing and crying simultaneously. The worst part was we weren’t surprised to hear it.. this boat has challenged my patience to the core. I call it the character building boat. Engine, throttle mechanisms, gas tanks and even faulty lights.. this boat has every issue you could imagine.. In a small part of my mind I was relieved to hear that these challenges were gone.
I had one of my friends @strawhatlexi head over to see how bad it was after the call and from her look on her face when she FaceTimes me I knew it was bad… she turned the camera around to show a barely visible shadow of a hulk in the water… but I quickly realized that the dock looked a little different… as she panned right I saw “Free Bee” still proudly emerging out of the water… turns out the harbor got my slip number mixed up and thought my boat had sunk… during the storm it only took minimal damage which @bet_ur_ashe was kind enough to handle for us!

The boat is fine and alive. It doesn’t run anymore but it still floats.
