Standing Up for Equality and Justice
compassion, love & strength
it’s hard to speak up about matters when you’re not sure what to say and it makes you uncomfortable! Especially when you have a platform with all ages and don’t know how to approach the matter in a way that everyone understands!
However here I go, we must remember to be kind to those who are still learning! We must be kind to those who don’t know what to do or say! We must acknowledge and educate ourselves on the oppression that our society places on certain individuals! And we must keep pushing towards a society that believes in complete and utter equality!
So if you’re sharing informative posts and articles, that’s amazing, if you’re signing petitions and donating to foundations that’s great too! Taking a step in the right direction can be as simple as having an open conversation with your family and friends!
WHAT WE CAN DO!
•be aware of your privilege
•call out racism when you see it (don’t be silent)
•stand up against injustice & discrimination
•share & sign petitions
•educate yourselves and share what you’ve learnt with others
There are so many more things we can do and say, but what I hope I can leave you with today is to be brave! Brave enough to stand up for something you believe in, help educate a friend on the matter and support petitions and foundations that can and will make a difference!
I may not have all the information, and I am still learning but here are a few accounts that can help you understand what’s going on, and why things need to change!
