How to Teach Your Dog to Backstall

HOW TO TEACH 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗟 ✨ -save this post to refer back to- What you need •𝟮 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 + 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀/𝘁𝗼𝘆 (𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘱𝘴) -get your pup comfortable on your back, lure with a treat and reward once two paws are on, then transition to reward when all 4 paws are on -raise the height (knowing ‘paws up’ is very helpful here, repeat step 1 to get you and your pup comfortable at a new height) -you can start introducing your cue word here, I use #backstall -raise height again, and practice balancing, you can remove your buddy at this stage once your pup understands that the goal is to jump up and have 4 paws on your back *disclaimer: I’m not a professional doggo trainer, do be careful and make sure that both you and your pup are having fun *𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗧 𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗦 - 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 😂 p.s there’s a few other ways to train this trick that I will share with you soon x let me know how you go? any other trick requests?
