How to Teach Your Dog the Footsie Trick

#HOWTO 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦𝗜𝗘 ✨ -𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰- 1️⃣get your pup comfortable between legs, we use the command ‘SAFE’ 2️⃣turn your toes inward and cue ‘SAFE’ - reward heavily when dog places paws on feet 𝗠𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗜𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗬 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗧?! -your pup should know how to ‘SHAKE/PAW’ Start with the regular command - reward after success, now cue ‘OTHER PAW’ so your pup learns that they need to utilize both paws- reward -once your pup understands ‘PAW’ and ‘OTHER PAW’ start swapping out your hand for your feet 3️⃣going onto step three may take a lot of patience and repetition to ensure your pup is comfortable - but once your pup understands to place their paws on your toes, slowly start waddling while continuously rewarding if your pup stays on your toes 4️⃣start adding some distance and move forward *disclaimer: I’m not a professional doggo trainer, do be careful and make sure that both you and your pup are having fun Tag a mate who should try this trick - and let me know how you go! ** posted this back in 2022 and thought to bring it back while we bank up some new tutorials **
