(We love a good adventure!) š¤© Youāll find this old, top-secret naval communications bunker used in World War II along with some unbelievably breathtaking views. šÆ And if you summit just before dawn, you may experience the sunrise of your life! š Youāll fully understand why itās called the Stairway to Heaven, and you wonāt stop trying to capture šø every moment and detail you can from every vantage point (like us!) because it is truly that rewarding and fantastic. The š» bunker was built between 1942-1943 to protect the U.S. from enemy attacks using long-range radio signals. Today, itās abandoned but an incredible vintage sight in āHeaven,ā as the summit of the steep-and-often-vertical 3,992-step climb suggests. āØ And it led to the installation of the awesome stairs. š¤ Have you done this bucket-list hike?
