How many black sand beaches are there in the 🌎? And do they stay black or turn brown centuries later? 🤔 Setting foot on the ones lining the coast of the #BigIsland is really something special. ⛱ The sand actually feels soft and soothing, which was actually quite unexpected given how rough lava rock is. It’s really cool how fertile it is and how much life it breathes into the island like you see in this shot.
